Privacy policy

As you will be aware the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force on the 25th May 2018.

Best Imports Ltd would like to request that you, as a valued customer, agree to allow us to continue to safely store your contact details e.g. e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, invoice and delivery addresses etc… all of which you will have been provided by you (customer), your referees, or created by your use of our services.

This does not affect your rights as you are in control, the legislation dictates that you can:-

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you at any time.
  • Inform us of any changes or corrections to your personal information.
  • Ask us to erase the personal information we hold about you.
  • Withdraw your consent for us to use your personal information at any time by emailing helpdesk@bestimports.co.uk or calling us on 01727 829 010

We respect your privacy and the safe storage of your personal information is taken very seriously. All our digitally held information is stored on encrypted drives behind industry standard firewalls, nor do we share your personal information with any other organisation for sales or marketing purposes. The data we hold is crucial to maintain the high quality of service you have enjoyed in the past and to continue that same level in the future.

Invoices, POD’s, statements and updates on the progress or non-progress of deliveries will be communicated in exactly the same way as before.

It is very important that you ‘opt in’ with us to keep using our services but, rather than your physically having to do this, we will assume that you wish to do so if you keep ordering from us.

You may opt out at any time whereupon we will remove your data from our records apart from anything we are legally bound to keep. You can do this by emailing helpdesk@bestimports.co.uk stating your wish ‘opt out’ and discontinue using our services.

If you have any queries about anything above please do not hesitate to contact us using the channels as mentioned above. More information on data protection and GDPR is available on the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) website: www.ico.org.uk
